Note: Many of these pictures are very large. They make look jagged. Look for the icon that lets you view them at full size to fix that.
I never planned on it, but I am redoing the entire suspension. It was a 'while I'm at it' kind of deal. I knew I needed a k member for increased clearance. I needed new rear components because of the mini tubs. It all went downhill from there.

Summit 15 gallon fuel cellThanks to Dave from Team Z. I needed someone who could advise me on what shocks and springs I needed as well as answer k member questions. You can get in touch with Dave at Team Z Motorsports.
We are fitting 315/35/17 BF Goodrich Drag Radials mounted on 17x10.5" anthracite FR500 replica wheels. The wheels look great in person. I am very happy with them. The car should ride well and handle well, I hope. Traction should be about as good as anyone can expect on public roads.
The picture above doesn't show the true width of the tire because of the angle I had to take to hold the tape and the camera, but this tire measures 12.5" wide! I put it next to the 255s currently on the car. There is a BIG difference.

Update 7/15/07: We took the car to the chassis shop.
The southeast U.S. is experiencing a drought. My state is in the most severe stage. However, the day I take my car on a trailer, it pours down rain for hours. My car doesn't have any glass in it right now. I was hoping that the tarp didn't blow away or let any water get to my dash and all the wiring. Luckily, it held tight and everything critical arrived dry. Here are some pictures of the trip.
Update 8/10/07: Car almost home
I will be picking the car up the week of August 13th. While it was in the shop, I decided to take out the stock gas tank and put in a brushed aluminum cell in the spare tire well. This will allow more room to mount fuel pumps out of sight.
Update 8/27/07 Mini tub page added
Update 8/22/08 front brakes purchased; I bought a set of 200 mile brake rotors and pads for the front. They are FMS 11" for a 94 GT. I have new caliper and Hawk pads plus braided lines and a 94 master cylinder. The 11" setup will allow me to run 15" wheels up front with no spacer pushing the wheel out.
Update 10/27/08 Finally I got back to getting the car done. I took it over to Atlanta to Sheppard Race cars for more chassis work.
Here is what they did:
mount fuel cell and do the tin work in the trunk.
install rear firewall and package tray
install UPR single adjustable lower control arms & square the read end
weld a plate in the trunk floor over where gas filler neck went through the floor. They made one for the gas filler door also.
Bend stainless brake lines from the firewall all the way back to the rear disks.
Update 11/19/08. Pictures of work by Sheppard Race Cars.
