Note: Many of these pictures are very large. They make look jagged when you click a link. Look for the icon that lets you view them at full size to fix that. Enjoy.
Shortly after acquiring this car, it was involved in a minor accident that prompted some body work. These are the first pictures of the car in the body shop. It was taken down to the bare metal on the roof and the trunk. I will add pictures soon of the guide coat that was applied to see how straight the panels and repairs are.

Currently, I'm not thrilled about the level of detail with regard to preparation. (Like masking things off. However I did not pay for a show car job either.) I know I am much pickier than the average person. This is just the first coat trimming in parts of the car. Hopefully I will be happy with the end result.
4/21/07; I will have new pics this week. I have been busy at work for the last two weeks and have no idea how much progress has been made.

We had to trim away the stock bumper cover to make room for the intercooler. Here a few shots of our 'mock' intercooler. Since I didn't already have the intercooler, Eric mocked up a cardboard intercooler so we could see where to cut the bumper cover.
Final Thoughts: I have seen some things about the paint and body work that are huge causes for concern. The shop is painting right over the top of dirt, rust and tape. I could go on about their workmanship, but the bottom line is that I am going to pull the car out of this shop ASAP.

Well, sometimes strange things happen. Even though I told the painter to stop working on my car, he kept going. These are the latest pictures. I have since pulled it from his shop, and it will go to a different painter.
8/22/08; Well it hasn't seen that new painter yet. My business had been turbulent and the mortgage market meltdown has taken a toll on equity I had in my house. That only matters because I am selling my home to go somewhere bigger. I am out of room and adding on isn't an option.
I took a trip out to see my coupe (where a friend is storing it, thanks Eric) and discovered mold on the seats and steering wheel and an overall nasty condition that made me sick. I got out there that weekend to clean it up. It's a 30 mile ride each way to see it, so I don't go often. Below are the pics when I first looked. Eric has agreed to let me keep it inside in an extra garage he has away. Paying him helps also.
Here are the pictures from when I pulled it out and cleaned it up. I discovered nothing permanent had happened.
